Thank You Joy Taylor!
Hi! My name is Joy Taylor. I am from just outside of Lexington, Kentucky. I recently graduated with my BA degree in Art and minor in Equine Management. I’m a very active yogi and rock climber, and am in the area to do my yoga teacher training at Anamaya. However, I wanted to spend some more hands on time in the area and get a chance to invest in the community; Volunteering at the farm is giving me that opportunity.

Note: Joy may have been our most talented volunteer so far! As you can see from the photos below, not only is she an amazing yogi (and now a certified yoga teacher too!) but she was a great aerialist. Almost every day, Joy could be found suspended from the aerial silk (known as “tela” in Spanish) in the center of the geodesic dome next to the volunteer house.
Joy is an amazing painter, and she left her mark at Rancho Delicio by painting the front of the volunteer house. We had asked her to do something beautiful that also helped the house blend into the nature around it, and you can see what she came up with in one of the photos below.
