Fashion Design in the Jungle of Costa Rica

Sexy Black DressToday we did a photoshoot for Yasmin’s company Pasion de Tres. She has a workshop here on the farm, where she designs and sews her clothing and jewelry, much of it one-of-a-kind using scrap fabric, such as her recycled fabric jewelry.

Yasmin is also the model in the photos. She studied television journalism after receiving a scholarship, and a decade or so ago she was on TV here in Costa Rica as a newscaster for Channel 7 and then for Destinos TV.

Originally from Medellin, Colombia, Yasmin grew up in a remote jungle farm town. Her family ranch had thousands of acres, but the farm was four hours, on horseback from the nearest road and electricity! For the past 25 years or so, she has lived in big cities, so returning to live on a jungle farm with goats, horses, monkeys in the trees, and fresh mangoes is a dream come true for her.

Her beautiful things are available at Anamaya in Montezuma, and several stores in San Jose, Guanacaste, and Jaco. But the best way to get something is to contact her directly so she can make something just for you:
